Grant applications, written to be read.

Government, foundation, and corporate grants for small businesses. Eligibility analysis, narrative drafting, budget design, attachment curation, submission. We work programs we believe you can win.

What kinds of grants we work on

  • NYC and NYS business grants. NYC Future Fund, IDA programs, NYS Empire State Development grant cycles, industry-specific NYC SBS grants.
  • Federal small business grants. SBA-administered programs, SBIR/STTR for technology-focused firms, USDA programs for food-related businesses, EDA programs for economic development.
  • Foundation grants. Local and national foundations supporting small businesses, women-owned businesses, BIPOC-owned businesses, and specific industries (creative, food, sustainable goods, etc.).
  • Corporate grants. Programs from major corporations — Comcast RISE, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses funding rounds, Amber Grant, FedEx Small Business Grant, Visa She's Next.

What we do

  • Match analysis. Before any drafting, we confirm your eligibility for the specific program and assess fit between the funder's priorities and your business. We pass on applications where the fit is weak.
  • Funder research. What has the funder funded recently? What language do they use? What outcomes do they report on? This shapes how the narrative is written.
  • Narrative drafting. Statement of need, project description, methodology, expected outcomes, sustainability plan. Each section calibrated to what this funder reads for.
  • Budget construction. Line-item budget with narrative justifications, matching funder requirements (some require detailed cost breakdowns, others require summary categories).
  • Attachments. Tax filings, organizational documents, board lists, financial statements, capability statements, supporting letters. Each in the right format, in the right order, named the right way.
  • Submission. Through funder portal or via email per their instructions. Confirmation receipt managed.

Our success rate (honest version)

Honest grant numbers: across the industry, even strong applications win at rates of 10 to 25 percent depending on the program. Programs with high name recognition and large award amounts attract many more applicants and have lower hit rates. Programs that are obscure but well-matched to a specific business profile have much higher rates.

Our strategy is to apply only to well-matched programs and to invest the work in making each application as competitive as possible. We will tell you honestly when an application is a long shot versus a strong fit.

Common questions

No. Grant award is determined by the funder. We guarantee that your application is complete, correctly formatted, and submitted on time. Anyone who guarantees grant outcomes is misleading you.
Both. We maintain a watchlist of grant programs and can recommend ones that match your business. We are equally happy to work an application for a program you have already identified.
Some grants are restricted to nonprofits. If a grant requires that and your business is for-profit, we will tell you upfront. Some programs accept for-profits or have parallel programs — we will look for the right channel.
Not by default, but we can. Most grants require interim and final reporting. If you win and want us to handle the reporting, we scope that as a follow-on engagement.
