Service Disclosures

Why this page exists. A lot of firms in this market overpromise. We do not. This page is the honest, plain-English description of what we do, what we do not do, and what to expect from us. If you read one legal page on this site, read this one.

What WedgeBid is

WedgeBid is a procurement and grant application services brand operated by Advertflair LLC, a New York limited liability company. We help small businesses prepare and submit documentation for government contract opportunities, grant applications, and business certifications. We combine experienced human professionals with AI-assisted document drafting to deliver the work faster and at lower cost than traditional consultants.

What WedgeBid is not

We are not a law firm. We do not employ attorneys in their capacity as attorneys. We do not provide legal services. We are also not an accounting firm, a financial advisory firm, a government agency, or an affiliate of any government agency.

What we do

  • Prepare and file MBE, WBE, DBE, 8(a), and similar business certification applications
  • Set up and maintain SAM.gov federal contractor registrations
  • Design and produce capability statements and past-performance documents
  • Research government solicitations and identify ones you can realistically win
  • Draft government contract bid responses, including technical, management, past-performance, and price volumes
  • Prepare and submit grant applications
  • Track deadlines, renewals, and recompete windows
  • Provide pipeline summaries and opportunity matching
  • Refer you to qualified attorneys, accountants, or financial advisors when your situation requires one

What we do not do

  • Give legal advice or interpret laws, regulations, or contracts
  • Represent you in legal proceedings, bid protests, or appeals
  • Provide tax advice or prepare tax returns
  • Give accounting advice or perform audits
  • Provide financial planning, investment advice, or financing
  • Lobby government officials on your behalf
  • Sign filings under penalty of perjury on your behalf (you sign)
  • Guarantee certification approval, grant award, or contract award
  • Pay agency filing fees from our fees (those are passed through)

No guarantee of outcomes

We do not guarantee that you will be certified, awarded a grant, or awarded a contract. We do not guarantee any specific revenue, contract value, or business outcome from working with us. What we guarantee is that the work product we deliver will be complete, correctly formatted, and submitted on time, in accordance with the engagement letter we sign with you.

Outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including: the agency's review process, competitive dynamics in the procurement, your business's qualifications and circumstances, market conditions, and policy decisions by government officials. Any past results we may share are illustrative and do not predict future results.

Engagement letters

Every paid engagement is governed by a written engagement letter that we and the client both sign before work begins. The engagement letter sets out:

We will tell you in advance if a project is likely to require services we do not provide (legal advice, tax filings, lobbying), and we will refer you to qualified professionals for those services.

Conflicts of interest

We will not work for two clients bidding on the same procurement. If you engage us for a bid response and another business later asks us to bid the same opportunity, we will decline that second engagement. If you do not have an exclusive engagement with us for a service category, we may work for other clients in your industry, including direct competitors, on different opportunities.

Fees and refunds

Our fees are set out on our services page and confirmed in the engagement letter. Government and agency filing fees, third-party software costs, and similar pass-through expenses are billed separately and at cost, with no markup.

Refund policy varies by service and is set out in the engagement letter. In general:

Confidentiality

All non-public information you share with us in the course of an engagement is confidential. We share it only as needed to perform the engagement, as described in our Privacy Policy, or as required by law.

Independent professional judgment

We will tell you honestly when we believe a bid is not worth pursuing, when a certification is unlikely to be approved, or when an application strategy needs to change. We will not take a fee for work we do not believe in. If we believe your interest requires services we cannot provide, we will say so and refer you to a qualified professional.

If you need legal advice

If your situation involves a legal dispute, a bid protest, a regulatory investigation, or any matter that requires interpretation of law, you need an attorney. We are happy to refer you to attorneys in our network who work with small businesses on procurement and grant matters. Those referrals are at no cost to you, and we receive no compensation from referred attorneys.
